Nightster

1983 - 1984

My best friend at the time, Todd, had always told me he wanted to sing in a band. So we decided to put something together and give it a try. For never singing in a band before, Todd was actually a pretty good singer and a pretty good front man. A short search for a bassist and drummer turned up two guys named Ron. After practicing for several month's in our bass player's kitchen, (yes, I said kitchen) a mutual friend or ours, Tony Dilehay, decided he would like to be our manager. Tony was in the DJ business and thought a band would be a nice extra to his already sucessful business. We played several jobs including proms, bars, dances, etc. But one of the most memorable was playing at a country bar in Broken Bow, Nebraska called Sylvester's. Since we were an all hard rock band, we didn't go over very well. In fact, I remember ice being thrown at us a few times. It's like the Blues Brothers movie all over again. After a short run, Nightster broke up and the members went on to bigger and better things....I guess.
